Key Responsibilities

1.     Responsible for ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.

2.     Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and processes involved in the day-to-day delivery of goods.

3.     Support and provide suggestions for the effective management of both inward and outward flow of inventory.

4.     Handle inventory issues, including schedule changes and order cancellations.

5.     Manage inventory accuracy and participate in inventory cycle counting.

6.     Ensure compliance with good housekeeping practices and health and safety regulations within the work area.

7.     Contribute to, be involved in, and actively support the continuous improvement process across all aspects of the department.

8.     Ensure a continuous supply of materials for production use and the timely delivery of goods.

9.     Maintain and update the ERP system with safety stock levels and purchase requisitions.

10.  Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure the estimated time of arrival (ETA) of materials meets the estimated time of delivery (ETD) to customers.

11.  Work closely with the project team for forecasting and new product introductions (NPI).

12.  Participate in stock take activities, including variance analysis and count sheet release.

13.  Conduct root cause analysis on issues for the purpose of process improvement.

14.  Assist in Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and ISO 9001 documentation requirements.

15.  Understand the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS), including documented information, planning, and determining process interactions.

16.  Perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

1.   Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.

2.   At least 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role.

3.   Strong understanding of inventory management, production processes, and material flow.

4.   Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

5.   Ability to manage inventory issues and resolve scheduling conflicts effectively.

6.   High accuracy in managing inventory levels and cycle counting.

7.   Knowledge of RBA and ISO 9001 standards is an advantage.

8.   Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various departments.

9.   Awareness of health and safety regulations within the workplace.

10.  Possess own transportation.

11.  Work location at Sungai Jawi, Penang.
