Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Handle full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL) and ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, petty cash, and payments accurately.
  • Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Verify and process dealer or branch sales reports, commissions, and expenses.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Support the Finance Manager in monthly and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for audit and tax submission.
  • Ensure all accounting records are maintained in accordance with accounting standards (MFRS).

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in monitoring company budgets and expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Track and report operational spending for telecommunication branches and projects.
  • Highlight any discrepancies or unusual variances to management.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure proper filing of financial documents, invoices, receipts, and contracts.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with statutory bodies (LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, HRD Corp).
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banks when necessary.
  • Support in preparation of documents for internal and external audits.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with internal departments (Sales, HR, Operations) on financial-related matters.
  • Verify stock reports, sales summaries, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Support management in cash flow monitoring and fund management activities.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in accounting or finance role, preferably in retail or telecommunication industry.
  • Knowledge of accounting software ( AutoCount would be added advantage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, GST/SST, and payroll basics.
  • Strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Mandarin speaker would add more advantages due to nature of business dealing with Chinese clients worldwide.
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in handling branch or outlet accounting.
  • Familiar with inventory reconciliation and sales reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Working Hours:
  • 9AM - 6PM
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Off every Saturday and Public Holiday.
