Partnerships Manager, Southeast Asia

Eco-Business is looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team to lead revenue growth and to scale our partnerships internationally.

We are looking for suitable candidates from Southeast Asia, with a preference for Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok, although we will also consider candidates from other countries depending on suitability.

The full-time role requires solid business development competencies and a strong proven sales track record. Any experience in the innovation ecosystem is an advantage.

You will work closely with our partnerships team on scaling Eco-Business' products and services across the region, as well as contribute to our innovation challenge partnership development efforts. (See more here: The Liveability Challenge)

The role

You will report to the CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, and work with the wider EB team across the region. You must have an excellent work ethic, be disciplined and work to tight deadlines, be a team player, and possess a keen interest in sustainable development and how it relates to the business world. The role requires a deep understanding of sustainable development and innovation-related trends and developments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Meeting revenue targets and promoting Eco-Business's suite of products, including marketing services, branded content, events, research, consulting, and training solutions
• Strong lead generation and 'hunter' capabilities
• Conceptualisation and ideation of client projects across the region
• Presenting to partners and leading meetings; brainstorming, reporting, writing and editing content
• Using and managing a CRM system for relationship management and administration
• Leading meetings to present insights, content concepts, and works in progress
• Developing a strong, authoritative presence on social media channels to increase engagement
• Working with the wider EB team on the delivery of projects
• Presenting at or moderating industry and Eco-Business events
• Supporting the team in project delivery where required
• Some travel may be required occasionally

Requirements:

• A keen interest in sustainable development issues
• At least three years of experience in a revenue generating role
• Proven track record in client business development and achieving revenue targets
• Strong local/regional/international market networks in business and policy ecosystems
• Proven track record in client relationship management
• Ability to produce high-quality client proposals in a timely manner
• A good understanding of sustainable development matters in the Asia-Pacific region
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy, and strong written and spoken English language skills
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the willingness to contribute to the success of a growing and dynamic organisation
• A clear understanding of the Eco-Business brand and editorial principles
