Position Summary

The Supplier Quality Engineer ensures that aerospace suppliers deliver products and services that meet all engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on supplier qualification, performance management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement to support high-reliability aerospace production.

Key Responsibilities

l Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and approvals in alignment with AS9100/AS9145 and internal standards.

l Support APQP activities and review PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, and process documentation.

l Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102.

l Monitor supplier performance (PPM, OTD, quality escapes) and lead corrective actions using 8D/5 Why.

l Coordinate containment and root-cause analysis for supplier nonconformances.

l Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality teams on new product introductions and risk mitigation.

l Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, including ITAR/DFARS and NADCAP (as applicable).

l Drive supplier continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

l Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.

l 3+ years of experience in aerospace supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality engineering.

l Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9145, APQP, PPAP, FAI/AS9102, and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC).

l Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.

l Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to travel 20–40%.

l Experience with NADCAP special processes.

l ERP/MRP and supplier management system experience.

l Background in composites, machining, assemblies, or aerospace special processes.

Pay: RM2, RM4,500.00 per month
