Game Publishing Lead, Malaysia

Responsibilities

1. Build key brand partnerships to acquire new players and push the MLBB brand forward

2. Systematically identify, contact and maintain long-term BD partnerships with top local brands, developing resource-exchange models to enhance local influence and target user coverage

3. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as school adminstrators, student organizations and government bodies to drive support plus ensure full compliance for all activities, mitigating legal and reputational risks.

4. Drive scaled local publishing programs to grow esports in educational institutions

5. Strategize, develop and implement scalable ecosystem programs (student club partnerships / campus ambassador programs / government programs / tournaments) across educational instutions.

6. Lead the growth of the local team while developing best practice strategies, KPIs and SOPs

7. Lead, inspire and grow the capabilities of MY local team

8. Develop and evolve key market strategies accounting for business goals, local insights and available resources

9. Define, track and analyze KPIs for all activities

10. Develop and implement key SOPs for activities as well as collaborating with other stakeholders internally (central teams, esports etc) and externally (brands, agencies, schools etc) to drive business outcomes.

Our Expectations Towards A Qualified Candidate

• 8-10 years working experience with at least 5 years in business development, partnerships and/or developing scalable marketing programs (fast moving industries / tech / gaming are a plus);
• A natural relationship builder who is driven by the challenge of sourcing, engaging, and securing new brand partnerships (connections with top local brands, gaming companies and/or relevant government departments are highly desirable);
• At least 2 years experience leading teams; vendor/partner management expertise;
• Ability to think strategically and design scalable marketing programs that can be tracked;
• Passion for gaming / MLBB (gaming industry experience is a plus);
• Proficient in English + Bahasa Malaysia for both written and spoken (Mandarin proficiency is a plus);
• Multinational exposure prioritized.
