Job Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, while providing excellent customer service. The role also involves maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar and ensuring guests have a pleasant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes or customer requests
  • Ensure proper setup and cleanliness of the bar area before, during, and after service
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age
  • Maintain inventory of bar supplies and restock when necessary
  • Handle cash and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately
  • Follow all food and beverage hygiene and safety regulations
  • Stay updated on drink trends and new cocktail recipes
  • Assist with opening and closing duties of the bar

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar F&B role
  • Knowledge of a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic math and cash handling skills
  • Certification in food safety or bartending is an advantage
