Responsibilities:
- Handle full set of accounts
- Prepare payment vouchers, pretty cash vouchers, journal, account receivable and payable and bank reconciliation. Prepare financial analysis/data, do analytical reviews and reconciliations
- Maintaining and compilation of relevant financial reports.
- Ensure that the relevant financial reports are completed and submitted on a timely manner.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and interact with external auditors in completing audit engagements.
- Preparation and filing of tax returns and GST
- Other ad-hoc projects
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decisions.
- Preparing management reports and providing financial insights to management.
Financial Operations:
- Managing accounts payable (invoices, payments) and accounts receivable (billing, receipts).
- Overseeing month-end and year-end closing procedures and bank reconciliations.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assisting in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyzing budget variances and providing recommendations for improvement.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensuring compliance with financial laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supporting audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintaining internal controls and procedures for financial processes.
Collaboration and Strategy:
- Collaborating with other departments to provide financial support and insights.
- Supporting the development and execution of growth strategies from a financial perspective.
- Providing financial advice and guidance to departmental managers and business leaders.
Requirements:
- Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent are considered an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance management roles.
- Prior experience working in an audit firm is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in group consolidation and financial reporting.
