Parts Assistant

Assisting in the efficient administration of parts operations relating to stock purchases, inventory control and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose monthly parts purchase orders or inventory stocking lists based on analysis of recent parts consumption and usage trends.
  • Check parts availability and supply required parts to the technicians to ensure no delay in repair work
  • Prepare documents to order the required parts in accordance to parts order list
  • Prepare estimated cost of parts required for any repair jobs
  • Receive stock and verify Delivery Note with PO in order to ensure accurate delivery
  • Reports discrepancy of parts (i.e damaged, wrong, short supply) to manager and liaise with supplier for return or replacement
  • Reports and update manager on price changes of parts
  • Maintain proper documentation for Finance Department submission, audit purposes, and future reference.
  • Practice effective housekeeping and ensure safe storage of parts.
  • Ensure compliance to parts policies and processes to minimize deviation in service levels, leakages and maintain good customer service.
  • Performs any other duties that may be delegated from Manager from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least SPM level
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work under fast-paced environment
  • Computer literate and well versed with Microsoft Office.
