We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Backend Engineer with exceptional proficiency in the Laravel framework and a strong, proven background in integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production applications. This role is highly specialized and requires deep knowledge of both robust backend architecture and modern frontend needs (specifically ), focusing on building the core logic that powers our AI-driven features.

Job Responsibilities

Backend & Architecture

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and efficient RESTful APIs using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Optimize database queries and structure (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to ensure peak application performance, especially under high load from AI processes.
  • Write comprehensive unit and integration tests (using PHPUnit or Pest) to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
  • Manage deployment pipelines, infrastructure optimization, and CI/CD processes.
  • Lead technical discussions, contribute to system design, and perform code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

AI/LLM Integration & Development

  • Implement, manage, and optimize integrations with leading LLM providers.
  • Design and implement advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Develop robust prompt engineering strategies, handle complex conversational state management, and manage token consumption efficiently.

Cross-Stack Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with frontend teams to define API contracts, ensure optimal data fetching strategies, and understand the specific needs of Server Components and Server Actions.

Skills & Requirements

Core Technical Proficiency (Must Have)

  • 3+ years* of professional experience in Backend development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Laravel (PHP)*, including deep knowledge of Eloquent, migrations, caching, and the ecosystem.
  • Strong, verifiable experience in LLM implementation*, including working with prompt engineering, RAG architecture, and managing external AI service APIs.
  • Experience with Vector Databases .
  • Proficiency in database design and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and how it interacts with API development.
  • Deep understanding of * architecture* (App Router, Server Components, API routes) from a backend perspective, enabling efficient data transfer and caching.
