1. Cost Planning & Estimation

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for solar PV projects (rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid systems).
• Develop cost plans for EPC works including panels, inverters, structures, cabling, civil works, and balance-of-system components.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and cost–benefit analyses for proposed solar installations.

2. Tender Management & Procurement Support

• Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and technical schedules specific to solar projects.
• Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations for solar equipment (PV modules, inverters, mounting systems) and installation services.
• Support procurement negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with technical specifications.

3. Contract Administration

• Review and draft commercial terms for EPC, subcontractor, and supplier agreements.
• Manage contract variations, extension of time (EOT) claims, and cost adjustments.
• Ensure contractual accuracy for project deliverables, warranties, and performance guarantees.

4. Project Cost Control & Monitoring

• Track project expenditure across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Verify monthly progress claims, installation milestones, and work done on site.
• Monitor variation orders (VO), material usage, and site changes affecting cost.

5. Measurement & Valuation

• Conduct site measurements for installed PV systems, cable routing, civil foundations, and associated works.
• Validate contractor claims and prepare valuation reports.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of project costs, tender evaluations, contractual correspondence, and procurement logs.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and cash-flow projections for management.

7. Coordination & Technical Interface

• Work closely with project engineers, site supervisors, and design teams to ensure alignment between technical drawings and cost plans.
• Liaise with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and material specifications for solar components.
• Participate in project meetings and provide commercial input.

8. Compliance & Industry Standards

• Ensure cost and procurement activities comply with renewable energy guidelines, local regulations, and safety standards.
• Support audits for financial, contract, and operational compliance.

1. Educational & Professional Background

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

2. Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding of solar PV systems, components, and installation processes (rooftop and ground-mounted).
• Familiarity with EPC project phases—engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents, and progress valuations.

3. Work Experience

• Preferably 3 – 8 years of experience in construction, electrical/mechanical projects, or renewable energy.
• Experience in solar PV projects is a strong advantage.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and manage cost control for both small- and large-scale installations.

4. Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel, cost estimation tools, and QS measurement software.
• Able to read drawings (civil, structural, electrical) and interpret technical specifications will be advantage.
• Good negotiation skills with contractors and suppliers.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
