JOB DESCRIPTION: COPYWRITER

Position Title: Copywriter

Department: Corporate Development Unit (CDU)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Johor Bahru (Taman Molek)

Reports To: Head of Corporate Development Unit

Job Summary

The Copywriter is responsible for crafting compelling written content that effectively communicates Presgo's brand, products, and initiatives across multiple platforms. This includes writing persuasive marketing materials, social media content, website copy, product descriptions, corporate proposals, press releases, and email campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a creative communicator with strong attention to detail, capable of delivering clear and engaging content that aligns with Presgo's AI, Smart City, and digital transformation ecosystem branding.

Key Responsibilities


• Write, edit, and proofread high-quality copy for marketing materials, websites, social media, proposals, brochures, presentations, and digital ads.


• Develop persuasive and professional content for corporate documents such as company profiles, project proposals, and press releases.


• Create effective email marketing content, including bulk email campaigns, newsletters, and follow-up email sequences for client engagement and promotional activities.


• Collaborate with the design, marketing, and product teams to conceptualize and deliver integrated creative campaigns.


• Maintain brand voice, tone, and consistency across all communication channels.


• Conduct research on target audiences, industry trends, and competitors to develop relevant content strategies.


• Work closely with the digital marketing team to optimize copy for SEO, open rate, and engagement performance.


• Support the preparation of exhibition materials, digital campaigns, and corporate announcements (local and international).


• Contribute to internal communications, including memos, newsletters, and staff updates.

Requirements


• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.


• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or digital marketing.


• Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal).


• Proven experience in email marketing, including writing bulk email content, follow-up emails, and promotional email sequences.


• Excellent storytelling, conceptual thinking, and editing skills.


• Familiar with SEO, digital marketing, and content strategy.


• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.


• Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive with a passion for writing and communication.

Preferred Skills


• Experience writing for tech, AI, or Smart City-related industries.


• Familiar with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.) and CRM systems.


• Basic knowledge of Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for marketing visuals.


• Understanding of brand marketing and user engagement strategies.
