A. General Ledger (GL)

  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure proper classification and accuracy.
  • Perform monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring completeness of accruals and provisions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
  • Support external and internal audit requirements by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.

B. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances against budget and forecast; highlight key issues to management.
  • Consolidate financial information from subsidiaries or business units, where applicable.
  • Assist in preparing management dashboards and financial presentations.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

C. Fixed Asset Management

  • Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization, tagging, depreciation, and disposal entries.
  • Verify asset existence through periodic physical asset verification and reconciliation with records.
  • Ensure compliance with capitalization policy and coordinate with departments on asset additions, transfers, and write-offs.
  • Review and monitor depreciation schedules and ensure correct accounting treatment of asset-related transactions.

D. Compliance & Control

  • Ensure financial records comply with statutory, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and proper filing of all financial information.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations.
  • Support system enhancements and automation within the finance function.
