Yu Construction Company was formed in May 1991 as a partnership construction company by directors Mr. Yu Seng Kwee and Ms. Sharon Chim. The company has been actively participating in local construction industry, particularly specialized in general contracting for civil works.

Job Description:

  • Assist the Operations Director in daily project execution throughout all stages, from inception to completion.
  • Liaise with consultants, local councils, and relevant authorities to ensure timely submissions, approvals, and renewals.
  • To coordinate with consultants during conceptual design, design development and tender stage and to ensure that all drawings are prepared within stipulated time frame for submission to the relevant authorities and calling tender.
  • To regularly report to the relevant Operations Director on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.
  • Prepare and update project progress reports, proposals, and other documentation required for management review and approval.
  • To control relevant project documents and data as outlined in the PQP.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Attend with Operations Manager in relevant site meeting, consultant meeting and etc. Liase with client / consultant on relevant project issue.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil and Structural, Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building or related discipline with minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience in construction Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of civil, structural, quantity surveying and architectural works in warehouse construction.
  • Good leadership and ability to lead site project team and coordinate with internal contract department and consultants.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to coordinate with relevant government authorities for the required approvals and permits / licenses.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities for maximum delivery result.
