About the Role

  • Vekan Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled
    Senior CNC Programmer
    /
    Technical Lead
    to join our advanced manufacturing team in Port Klang
    .
    This role is crucial for optimizing our machining processes, improving quality, and providing technical guidance to our production floor.

Responsibilities

  • CNC Programming & Setup: Design, program, set up, and optimize complex 3-axis milling processes (and turning where applicable) for First Article (FA) and sample submissions.
  • Software Expertise: Utilize advanced CAD/CAM software (e.g., UG/NX, SolidCAM, JDSOFT SurfMill) for program development, toolpath optimization, and and collision simulation to de-risk complex setups.
  • Process Improvement (NPI): Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of advanced workholding jigs and custom form tools, to elevate part quality, eliminate waste, and increase overall efficiency.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and coaching for machinists, CNC programmers, and junior engineers to strengthen the overall team capability.
  • Quality & Compliance: Oversee critical documentation to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.

Required Skills

  1. Minimum 5 years of
    hands-on
    professional experience in CNC programming and machining.
  2. Requires strong, practical proficiency in CAD/CAM programming and simulation (e.g., SolidCAM, UG/NX, JDSOFT SurfMill).
    Specific advanced training and certification opportunities on new software and technologies will be provided to support career growth.
  3. Demonstrated ability to machine high-precision components with tight tolerances.
  4. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and metrology.
  5. Experience in Automotive industry (IATF or Aerospace is highly desirable.
