Key Responsibilities:

1) Project Execution & Supervision (70%):

  • Assist in the on-site supervision of construction activities, ensuring work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications for bridge structures, road networks, and general site work.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential issues and proposing practical solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and construction personnel on technical matters.

2) Design & Technical Support (20%):

  • Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses related to structural elements, earthworks, and drainage systems.
  • Assist senior engineers in preparing technical reports, design documentation, and tender documents.
  • Review and process Requests for Information (RFIs) and Submittals from contractors.

3) Safety & Compliance (10%):

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant local and national building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in site safety inspections and promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive professional experience in civil engineering, with significant experience directly involving:
  • Bridge Work: Experience with concrete and steel bridge construction/rehabilitation methods.
  • Road Construction: Experience in pavement design, earthwork, grading, and drainage for road and highway projects.
  • Construction Works: Demonstrated experience in general construction management, quality control, and site supervision.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and materials testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and on challenging site conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
