Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily IT security operations, incident response, and system/network health checks.
  • Monitor servers, networks, and endpoints for security events, logs, alerts, and potential disruptions.
  • Identify and analyse security risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and attempted breaches.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning, patch management, and penetration testing; recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis, post-mortem reviews, and maintain incident documentation.
  • Participate in security assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (including BNM).
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement IT security controls, solutions, and enhancements.
  • Act as in-house security subject-matter expert; advise teams on secure architecture and risk mitigation.
  • Design and implement security architecture and detailed security control designs.
  • Conduct security awareness training and phishing simulation exercises.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors; track remediation and closure of compliance gaps.
  • Establish, review, and update IT security policies, procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Prepare detailed security reports, assessments, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certifications (CISSP, CRISC, CEH, GIAC, etc.) are an added advantage.
  • 8–12 years' experience in IT security technologies, IT controls, and IT processes.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with security tools and technologies (e.g., Zero Trust, firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, NAC, DLP, VPN, WAF, encryption, endpoint detection/response).
  • Experience in vulnerability and patch management, incident response, threat analysis, penetration testing, and source code review.
  • Skilled in preparing and conducting security awareness training and maintaining security documentation.
  • Experience leading or participating in project implementations.
  • Able to handle vendor sourcing, purchase orders, and payment processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be available for urgent after-hours incident support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM13,000.00 per month
