About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Navamas Engineering Sdn Bhd as an Accountant. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Providing financial data and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Candidate must possess a Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications of MIA/ MACPA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and financial reporting skills
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
