Job Description: Supply Chain Manager

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficient planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to improve cost efficiency, service levels, and overall supply chain performance.


Key Responsibilities
1. Supply & Demand Planning
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts based on sales trends, market insights, and historical data.
  • Plan and manage supply to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to align forecasts with business goals.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstocks.
  • Implement inventory control strategies and optimization tools (e.g., safety stock, MOQ, lead time reduction).
  • Oversee warehousing operations to ensure proper storage, FIFO, and stock accuracy.
3. Logistics & Distribution
  • Manage domestic and international shipments, including freight booking, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery.
  • Optimize transportation costs and delivery lead times.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory and safety requirements.
4. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and reduce supply chain costs.
  • Implement best practices, automation tools, and KPI reporting.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Support new product launches with proper supply chain planning.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, logistics, or planning (managerial experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and supply chain systems (ERP, forecasting tools) will be added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, import/export regulations, and inventory optimization.
