Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Industry: Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehouse Operations

We are looking for an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to lead and manage our warehouse operations in Kota Kinabalu. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operational activities, assure inventory accuracy, ensure compliance with safety standards, and drive productivity and cost efficiency across the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Process Management

  • Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including inventory control, inbound, and outbound processes.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, timely receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to warehouse SOPs.

2. Team Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and onboard warehouse employees (forklift operators, pickers, packers, clerks).
  • Create work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate manpower allocation.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Build a positive, motivated, and productive work culture.

3. Health, Safety & Security

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all safety equipment is functional.
  • Investigate accidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee warehouse security, including access control and surveillance.

4. Inventory & Space Optimization

  • Plan and optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage capacity and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain real-time, accurate inventory records using WMS.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO systems for stock rotation.
  • Identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory.

5. Systems & Reporting

  • Track warehouse capacity utilization and labor productivity (e.g., lines picked per hour).
  • Prepare timely reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and operational costs.
  • Ensure proper use of warehouse systems and tools.

6. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in managing the warehouse operating budget.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities including labor, overtime, packaging, and transportation.

  • Perform any other finance-related duties as assigned by the CEO or DCEO.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS, warehouse workflows, and inventory control.
  • Proven leadership in managing medium to large teams.
  • Familiar with safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and executing daily operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and warehouse systems.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Forklift/MHE knowledge or supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Good communication and people management skills.
  • Language Proficiency: English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin (must). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
