SAP Test Lead requires managing test strategies, planning and execution of various testing types (functional, regression, performance, UAT), leading a test team, defect management, and reporting to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include developing test plans, overseeing the creation and execution of test cases, using test management tools, and collaborating with development and business teams to ensure the final product meets quality and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Test Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and define the overall test strategy, approach, and master plans.
  • Create and manage detailed test plans for each test phase, aligning them with project timelines and goals.
  • Test Execution:
  • Oversee and participate in all phases of testing, including unit, integration, functional, regression, performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure the correct execution of test scripts, both automated and manual.
  • Coordinate with IT and vendors to ensure testing environments are prepared and available.
  • Team and Stakeholder Management:
  • Lead and mentor a testing team, coordinating activities and managing workloads.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to clarify requirements and validate designs.
  • Manage relationships with business owners, software vendors, and other internal IT teams.
  • Defect and Quality Management:
  • Oversee the entire defect lifecycle, from tracking and logging to root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Ensure comprehensive defect documentation and reporting.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports on testing progress, outcomes, and issues.
