Job Summary:

The Food & Beverage Team Leader assists the F&B Manager in supervising daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth workflow, and consistent quality of food and beverage offerings. The role includes leading the service team, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining high operational and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Service

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant, bar, or banquet operations.
  • Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all guests.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Oversee table settings, cleanliness, and overall ambiance of the outlet.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate the service team to achieve performance standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate menu changes, promotions, and service goals.
  • Assign tasks and monitor staff performance during shifts.
  • Support staff development and maintain team discipline.

3. Sales & Profitability

  • Promote upselling and suggestive selling to maximize revenue.
  • Assist in inventory control, stock ordering, and cost management.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and billing procedures.

4. Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure staff adhere to grooming and safety policies.

5. Administration

  • Prepare shift schedules and manage attendance.
  • Support the preparation of reports (sales, breakages, wastage, etc.).
  • Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma in Hospitality / F&B Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in F&B operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Good knowledge of food & beverage products and service standards.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 per month
