This is an exciting opportunity to join Luno's awesome Finance team in a role with exposure to the wider Luno senior management team and a close working relationship with the APAC Regional Management team.

The FP&A team is currently made up of a Financial Planning team who are responsible for creating budgets and forecasts and Finance Business Partners who work with senior leaders across the business to support them in monitoring results and making key decisions. This would be the first role in the new commercial finance analysis arm of the team.

This role will focus on 2 main areas:

• Financial and commercial analysis and support for the APAC region - working closely with regional management to provide commercial analysis and insights
• Company-wide analysis over key financial KPIs - working closely with financial planning and data teams to ensure robust financial data is available for analysis, as well as the finance business partners and various senior leaders to establish their needs and provide appropriate insights and reporting

APAC Specific (50%):

• Assisting in preparation of strategy for APAC region
• Analyzing current / historical revenue and marketing KPIs and suggesting strategies for improving business performance
• Assisting in preparation of monthly / cyclical reviews of revenue and performance against operational goals for APAC region
• Building models / running scenario analysis, and providing data-backed recommendations related to pricing and expansion opportunities to support effective decision making
• Producing financial assessment of new investment opportunities and assisting Country Managers in producing business cases

FP&A specific (50%):

• Working closely with key stakeholders as well as data teams to ensure robust and consistent measurement and use of KPIs
• Assisting in setting appropriate targets for KPIs and monitoring against these
• Producing regular reporting and insights for senior management
• Running deep dive analysis into revenue or customer cost data to investigate hypotheses and support effective decision making
• Reviewing publicly available information about the crypto market and performance of competitors to determine Luno's position in the market and to measure performance against observed trends

The successful candidate will be:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including strong technical ability in data analysis
• Experienced analyst with financial background
• Practiced at building strong relationships with non-finance individuals
• Strategic thinker
• Commercially curious mindset
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly IT literate, comfortable operating and learning new systems

Nice to haves:

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
• Experience in cryptocurrency or regulated retail financial services
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Knowledge of sql
