About the responsibilities

Develop, manage, and maintain integrated master schedules for the entire Data Centre life cycle, from site mobilisation and substructure to M&E installation, commissioning, and final handover.

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in the sequencing and planning of Data Centre specific phases, including the critical path management of long-lead equipment procurement (e.g., generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers).
  • Implement robust progress measurement systems (EVM, S-Curves) and provide accurate weekly/monthly progress reports, including schedule variance analysis and recovery plans to the management team.
  • Control and integrate all design and scope changes into the project schedule, assessing time and resource impacts.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning sessions and act as the key planning liaison between the client, design consultants, subcontractors, and internal site teams.
  • Proactively identify scheduling risks, constraints, and bottlenecks, developing and executing mitigation strategies to maintain delivery commitments.

About the Requirements

Experience Breakdown:

  • Senior Planner: Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling for large-scale, complex industrial or high-tech building construction projects.
  • Planning Manager: Minimum 12 years of experience in project planning, with at least 4 years in a management or leadership capacity overseeing planning teams on mega-projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Sector Focus: Track record of successfully planning and delivering at least one full cycle of Data Centre, Semiconductor, or major industrial facility construction project.
  • Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency and expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is mandatory.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the technical sequence for M&E systems commissioning and its integration into the overall schedule.
  • Personal Attribute: Demonstrated high level of commitment, dedication, and resilience required to manage tight deadlines typical of mission-critical projects.
