What you'll be doing?
  • Budget Preparation: Assist in preparing new project budgets and revised budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Budget Variance Tracking: Monitor procurement costs against planned budgets and highlight variances for corrective actions.
  • Monthly Cost Reporting: Prepare and compile monthly cost reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to management.
  • Forecasting Support: Conduct forecasting of materials and commodities with an accuracy target of at least 80%, providing reliable data for procurement and planning.
  • Cost Savings Proposals: Contribute to identifying and preparing proposals for cost-saving initiatives or value engineering options, supporting the quarterly target of four proposals.
  • Variation Orders Preparation: Draft and compile documentation for variation orders, assisting the Manager in submission and negotiation with the client.
  • Data & Record Management: Maintain proper records of budgets, forecasts, and cost reports for reference, audit, and compliance purposes.
  • Team Support: Support the Manager and collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental KPIs and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project teams and procurement staff to gather data and ensure alignment between cost control and project execution.
Who are they looking for?
  • Education & Experience: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field. Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in cost control, planning, or QS functions.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail. Proficient in MS Excel and cost tracking tools. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting practices. Ability to manage tight timelines and multitask effectively.
  • Communication & Other Attributes: Good interpersonal and coordination skills. Team player with initiative and accountability. Organized, accurate, and committed to meeting deadlines.
