Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement plans to meet production and operational needs.
  • Ensure that purchased materials meet the required quality, quantity, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable international suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers through email, phone, and in-person communication.
  • Handle negotiation, contract management, and follow-up for international purchase orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
  • Regularly review procurement costs to ensure alignment with budgets while enhancing supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels, avoiding overstock or shortages.
  • Monitor shipments and coordinate customs clearance to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor global market trends, including price fluctuations, supply changes, and emerging opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and analysis to support procurement decision-making.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, and related paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Adhere to company policies, international trade regulations, and industry standards in all procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, particularly invoicing, warehouse management, and transport arrangements.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools like Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of urgency in addressing issues
  • Fluency in English, Malay and major dialects
