Job Summary

We're looking for someone who can support the Cafe Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow, high service standards, and consistent specialty coffee quality. Lead and motivate the team, manage customer experience, and uphold the café's brand values.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Management

  • Assist the Café Manager with daily operations including staff scheduling, stock control, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Supervise front-of-house, barista, and service staff to ensure consistent performance.
  • Handle cash management, POS operations, and daily sales reporting.
  • Monitor workflow during peak hours, ensuring efficiency and smooth customer flow.

Customer Experience

  • Uphold a high standard of hospitality and service quality.
  • Address and resolve customer feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure café ambience, cleanliness, and presentation meet brand standards.

Staff Leadership & Training

  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff on service standards, café systems, and specialty coffee knowledge.
  • Motivate and guide the team to achieve performance goals and maintain morale.
  • Provide coaching on customer service, barista skills, and operational improvements.

Specialty Coffee Standards

  • Ensure coffee preparation meets specialty standards in quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Support baristas with dial-in, calibration, and quality control of espresso and brew methods.
  • Keep updated on coffee trends and recommend improvements to menu or processes.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Manage inventory of coffee, food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Place supplier orders in coordination with the Café Manager.
  • Track and minimize wastage while ensuring stock availability.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in café/restaurant management or senior barista leadership role (specialty coffee background strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of coffee brewing methods, espresso preparation, and café operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Work location: Subang Parade, Subang Jaya

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,300.00 per month
