Role Overview

The successful candidate is responsible for leading the
technical planning, coordination, and delivery
of complex M&E systems for
data centre construction projects
. This role oversees all technical aspects from design review to commissioning, ensuring the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and ELV systems that meet mission-critical performance standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Design Coordination

  • Lead and oversee the review of M&E design drawings, IFC packages, and shop drawings for all disciplines:
  • Electrical
    – MV/LV, UPS, switchgear, gensets, earthing, power distribution, redundancy (N/N+1/2N)
  • Mechanical
    – HVAC systems, chilled water/CRAC/CRAH systems, ducting and piping layouts, heat load calculations
  • Fire Protection & ELV
    – FM200/sprinklers, BMS, CCTV, access control, monitoring and controls integration
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to improve efficiency, cost, and buildability without compromising performance

2. Project Technical Strategy & Execution Oversight

  • Provide guidance to project teams on technical matters, ensuring design intent is fully translated during installation and commissioning
  • Establish and/ or monitor technical submittal workflows, ensuring timely approvals of drawings, materials, and method statements
  • Support procurement with technical evaluation and selection of key M&E equipment and systems (e.g., UPS, switchgear, chillers, generators)
  • Anticipate and resolve high-impact technical challenges that may affect schedule, cost, or system performance

3. Testing, Commissioning & Handover Oversight

  • Provide technical leadership during T&C stages, including FAT/SAT, integrated system testing (IST), and handover to operations
  • Ensure all systems achieve intended redundancy, reliability, and performance benchmarks
  • Support commissioning teams with resolution of critical technical issues and validation of system performance reports

Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related field of studies.
  2. Able to comprehend tight timelines and strong communication abilities.
  3. Willing to work on Saturdays and/or off working hours based on project criticality.
