Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Administrator with hands-on experience in AutoCount accounting software, strong knowledge of Malaysian government tax regulations, and a background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day financial operations, ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, and support project-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set of accounts and daily accounting operations using AutoCount
  • Maintain accurate records for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL)
  • Manage project costing, progress billing, and retention claims specific to construction projects
  • Perform bank reconciliation, monthly and year-end closing
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports: SST, CIDB levy, EPF, SOCSO, PCB, LHDN e-filing, and EIS
  • Monitor project expenses and liaise with project managers on budget tracking
  • Assist in employee claims
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MPERS/MFRS) and all tax requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government bodies when needed
  • Perform administrative duties including documentation, filing, and coordination with site offices

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Proficient in AutoCount accounting software
  • Solid knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and statutory compliance
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in managing digital accounting workflows
  • Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in project-based accounting or contract-based businesses
  • Familiarity with construction claims, VO (Variation Orders), and progress billing cycles
  • Knowledge of CIDB and CONQUAS documentation standards (optional)
