Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide the
    Security Engineering and SOC teams
    , setting strategic goals, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful execution of security operations and initiatives.
  • Manage and enhance security infrastructure
    (e.g. SIEM, IPS, DLP, VA tools, ATP)
    , while overseeing security event monitoring, log analysis, anomaly detection, and incident response across the enterprise.
  • Provide technical consultancy on
    security architecture and surveillance operations
    , supporting project delivery, risk mitigation strategies, and the tuning of DLP and detection policies based on business needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors
    for perimeter defense, penetration testing, compromise assessments, and security tool enhancements, ensuring timely remediation and continuous improvement of security posture.
  • Ensure regulatory and audit compliance by preparing
    risk assessments, operational reports, and evidence submissions
    , while delivering monthly dashboards and maintaining strong security hygiene practices.

Candidate Profile:

  • A
    bachelor's degree
    in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years
    in the Information Security Industry, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Proven leadership experience
    managing and guiding cybersecurity or security operations teams,
    with the ability to set goals and drive performance.
  • Strong technical expertise in
    SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR/NDR/XDR, IDS/IPS,
    network security, application security, and forensic tools.
  • Familiarity with security standards and regulatory requirements such as
    BNM RMiT, MAS, PayNet, PCI-DSS
    , and best practices in security architecture.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team player, managing multiple tasks while maintaining strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g.,
    CISSP, CISM, CEH, CRISC, CISA
    ) are highly desirable.
