Job Description :

Material Planner

  • Coordinate and execute scheduling activities for assigned parts using ERP systems.
  • Identify and coordinate advance notice, input and resolution of material shortages/overages.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for reducing inventory, enhancing customer service levels, and lowering overall costs to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Monitor weekly shipments, ensure all required deliverables are on schedule for packaging, and address any issues to guarantee production lines achieve 100% on-time delivery.
  • Identify critical material deliveries and ensure program requirements are prioritized throughout the supply chain and internal processes.
  • Handle the processing of scrap and obsolete inventory from both Work in Progress (WIP) and the stockroom.

Production Planner

  • Implement the Master Production Schedule on the shop floor and monitor production performance.
  • Review capacity planning with production staff and update the system with the latest available capacity to ensure optimal utilization of production resources.
  • Review and understand production challenges by conducting root cause analysis, and collaborate with relevant parties to develop solutions.
  • Preparing Bi-weekly Operation Performance Report and present to management on capacity utilization , efficiency and OEE.

Qualification

  • Diploma / Degree or equivalent with minimum 2 years experience in production / material planning
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software/programs as opportunities or department needs arise. Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
