airlines, rail operators, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), hotels, and ticketing
companies.
The Role
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven, and highly capable Business
Development Manager (BDM) to aggressively drive the growth of Protect Group's
solutions within the dynamic Southeast Asia (SEA) market. This role will focus on
securing enterprise-level partnerships across multiple high-growth verticals,
including:
- Airlines & Transportation Companies
- Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) & Hotel Groups
- Event Ticketing Platforms & Promoters
The ideal candidate will be a true hunter with a proven track record of winning new,
complex enterprise business in the SEA market. You will leverage your native
language skills, deep understanding of local business culture, and experience in
relevant sectors to secure strategic partnerships with leading national and regional
brands.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition (Hunting)
- Strategy & Execution: In conjunction with the VP Sales develop and execute
a comprehensive sales strategy, including target account lists, detailed sales
forecasts, and market penetration plans to consistently achieve and exceed
quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Proactive Sourcing: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new high-value
business opportunities within all agreed-upon verticals.
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Own and manage the entire sales cycle, from
initial cold-call and pitch to negotiation, contract finalisation, and successful
"go live" handoff to the Partnerships team.
Relationship Management & Market Insight
- Executive Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term
relationships with key decision-makers (C-level, VP of Commercial, Product,
and Strategy) in major SEA target accounts.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on local market trends, competitor
activities, and specific product needs within SEA's travel, ticketing, and
ancillary service industries to inform company strategy.
Product and Cross-functional Collaboration
- Product Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on Protect Group's
offerings (Refund Protect and Protect Plus), effectively communicating their
data-driven value proposition and technical integration requirements to
potential partners.
- Internal Alignment: Work closely with internal teams, including Product,
Technology, Legal, and Partnerships, to ensure seamless sales execution,
technical feasibility, and high partner satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Language Fluency
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese (Mandarin/Traditional Chinese) (Mandatory) is
required for effective communication, negotiation, and building trust with local
enterprise partners.
- English Fluency (Mandatory): Fluent professional working proficiency in
English is essential for internal reporting and communication with the global
team.
Experience
- Enterprise Sales Track Record: Proven track record (minimum of 5 years)
in B2B Business Development or Enterprise Sales, consistently meeting or
exceeding demanding targets, ideally within the Indonesian market.
- Sector Expertise: Strong commercial understanding and sales experience
within one or more key verticals: Airlines, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs),
major SEA or regional travel companies, and/or large event/ticketing
platforms.
Core Competencies
- Sales Acumen: Exceptional networking, presentation, negotiation, and
consultative selling skills tailored to the Indonesian business environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable discussing platform integrations, APIs,
and data-driven solutions; proficient with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
