What will you do?

In this position you will play an integral part of supporting the Civil division and its success whilst establishing best of Civil Engineering practices.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world's economic development and, it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life'

• Perform or initiate conceptual, basic, and detailed design calculations and drawings
• Attend meetings and conduct design coordination with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors
• Perform engineering reviews for infrastructure design, including roads, drainage, sewerage, and water reticulation, using Excel spreadsheets and engineering software
• Ensure compliance with project design criteria, client briefs, approved concepts, and relevant design and office standards
• Design, develop, and review technical building and infrastructure plans and drawings for the project
• Supervise the on-site team, ensuring adherence to design and build concepts; verify technical designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Registered with BEM
• Minimum 7 years working experience in detailed design in an engineering consulting firm
• Strong background in drainage, roads, water supply, earthwork, and sewerage
• Able to handle projects independently
• Able to work independently and under pressure with minimum supervision
• Familiar with popular design software, hands-on experience in analyzing results from technical software; working knowledge in Civil 3D, EPANET, MiTS, BIM, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD
• Good communication skills
