Overview

The Civil Engineering Intern at Minconsult Sdn Bhd will support engineers and technical staff in delivering consultancy, design, and project management services. The intern will gain exposure to engineering design processes, documentation standards, consultancy workflows, and site coordination aligned with Minconsult's multi‐disciplinary project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in preparing design drawings, calculations, and technical documents for civil & structural projects.
  • Support the preparation of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural drafting under supervision.
  • Participate in site visits, collect data, take photos, and assist in preparing site observation reports.
  • Assist in reviewing design specifications, tender documents, and engineering standards.
  • Conduct basic research, data compilation, and contribute to engineering reports or feasibility studies.
  • Help coordinate communication with clients, contractors, and internal departments when required.
  • Provide support in quality assurance documentation and compliance with Minconsult's project procedures.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by engineers or the internship supervisor.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understanding of consultancy design workflow, including conceptual, detailed design, and submission processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in engineering software and technical documentation.
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary consulting practices and coordination work.
  • Improved understanding of industry regulations, codes of practice, and project quality standards.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D or other design tools is an advantage.
  • Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a consulting office environment.

Job Types: Internship, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: RM RM1,000.00 per month
