Job Description:

SQL Report Developer with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards, as well as troubleshooting production issues. Knowledge of IBM Cognos is a plus. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our reporting systems and delivering insightful reports that support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.


• Create and manage SSRS reports, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance.


• Develop SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.


• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to SQL databases, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards.


• Perform root cause analysis for reporting issues and work with relevant teams to implement solutions.


• Provide support and troubleshooting for end-users encountering issues with reports or dashboards.


• Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather and understand reporting requirements.


• Document report specifications, processes, and technical configurations.


• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting practices.


• Utilize IBM Cognos for additional reporting and analytics tasks, as needed. (Good to have)


• Assist in integrating Cognos reports with other reporting tools and systems. (Good to have)

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in SQL development, report design, and data analysis.


• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and SSRS.


• Strong proficiency in T-SQL and experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).


• Advanced skills in Power BI, including report and dashboard development.


• Expertise in SSRS report design and management.


• Familiarity with IBM Cognos is a plus but not required.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.


• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.


• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
