About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join our team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will support the credit analysis and approval process within the Financial Markets and Treasury function. You will be involved in preparing credit proposals, monitoring credit exposures, and ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements. This role offers good exposure to credit risk management, financial markets, and internal stakeholder engagement.

What you will be doing

  • Assist in drafting credit papers and proposals for Credit Committee approval in support of GTGM.

  • Support the preparation of reports on the Treasury Investment portfolio.

  • Assist in assigning credit ratings using internally approved rating methodologies and models.

  • Monitor existing credit limits to ensure there are no lapses.

  • Monitor securities within the portfolio for adverse news and market developments.

  • Support the Analytics team in the preparation and submission of credit proposals for approvals and renewals.

  • Assist in managing the credit approval process in a timely manner with relevant stakeholders.

  • Notify stakeholders on updates to credit limits in Treasury systems.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on operational and regulatory matters.

  • Ensure full compliance with established credit policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform other ad hoc assignments as required.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in Financial Markets and credit-related roles.

  • Fundamental understanding of Credit Risk and Financial Markets.

  • Exposure to accounting principles and financial statement analysis.

  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a structured environment.
