About the role

This full-time Accounts Executive, Payable role at Subway Malaysia Sdn Bhd will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor. Reporting to the Finance team, you'll be responsible for managing accounts payable activities to ensure the process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate documentation.
  2. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  3. Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding invoices and credit notes.
  4. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments (e.g. online banking, cheques).
  5. Maintain and update vendor master data in the accounting system.
  6. Prepare monthly Accounts Payable aging reports and assist in monthly closing activities.
  7. Liaise with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment status and queries.
  8. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and accounting policies.
  9. Assist in audit processes by providing required supporting documentation.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

  1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  4. Good knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  8. Candidates who can start work immediately will be advantages.
