Industrial Cost Controller

The Mission:

As Industrial Cost Controller, you will be the financial partner of the Plant Manager and the operational teams. Your mission is to monitor the performance of the production site, ensure the reliability of industrial data, and support decision-making to improve efficiency, cost control, and profitability.

The Position:

You will report to Monin Asia Finance & Administration Director, but you will work hand in hand and as sparing partner with the Operations Director.

You will also work closely with the Group Industrial Controlling Department.

Job Responsibilities in detail:

Cost and Process Analysis

• Break down product cost prices.
• Ensure the accuracy of standard costing and update them periodically.
• Analyse manufacturing processes to identify opportunity and risk and implement optimization and process improvements.

Production Optimization

• Collaborate with operations to improve production efficiency.
• Monitor and assess production performance metrics.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial ratios.
• Analyse financial and operational data to support decision-making.
• Create dashboards and business activity forecasts.
• Provide insights to stakeholders to optimize results and identify risks and opportunities.
• Perform monthly closing for industrial activities (WIP, production variances, scrap…).
• Analyse deviations between actual and budgeted costs, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for operational teams and management.

Budget & Forecasting

• Coordinate the preparation of budgets, reforecasts, and the plant's financial plan.
• Consolidate inputs from production, maintenance, purchasing, supply chain, etc.
• Monitor CAPEX and participate in investment analysis.

Inventory and Investment Analysis

• Conduct inventory performance reviews.
• Evaluate and analyse industrial (CAPEX) investments.

Variance and Supply Chain Analysis

• Analyse purchase and supply cost variances.
• Investigate variances in manufacturing orders and material consumption.

Lead Time and Stock Management

• Understand and analyse the relationship between lead time and commercial BBD (Best Before Date).
• Work towards optimizing production planning and inventory levels.

Internal Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to group financial policies and internal control procedures.
• Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions.

Required Profile:

• Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in costing and management accounting role preferably in the manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, industrial performance analysis, production processes and key drivers of industrial performance.
• Proficiency in ERP, Excel and reporting tool (BI).
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• High organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize optimally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and networking skills interfacing across functions and multiple levels in the organization.
• Experience in JDE or Oracle is preferred.
• Autonomous, rigorous, and able to meet tight deadlines.
