About the Role

Nu Ideaktiv is Malaysia's leading lifestyle and entertainment media company, home to brands such as Pa&Ma, Nona, Rasa, Mingguan Wanita, Hijabista, and Media Hiburan.

We are seeking a visionary leader to head our Data & Research Division, driving innovation, analytics, and insights to shape the future of our content and commercial strategies.

Role Purpose

As the Head of Data & Research, you will lead the development of research-driven insights and innovation that guide NISB's content, product, and business decisions. You will oversee R&D, Audience Insights, and Product Research, ensuring data and trends drive impactful results across all functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic vision and roadmap for data and research initiatives.
  • Lead R&D, Adex & Audience Insights, and Product Research teams.
  • Translate research findings into actionable strategies for editorial, commercial, and digital growth.
  • Champion a data-informed culture and innovation across departments.
  • Oversee research governance, ethical standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Report audience and market insights to the DCEO and senior management.
  • Evaluate ROI and performance of research and innovation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Media, Data Science, Research, or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in media research, analytics, or R&D leadership.
  • Strong ability to convert complex data into strategic business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder influence.
  • Proven track record in leading data teams and driving innovation within large organisations.
  • Ethical, detail-oriented, and highly dependable in managing confidential data.
