About the role

DP Controls Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our state-of-the-art control systems and automation solutions to our diverse client base. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur office, where you will be responsible for the successful implementation and integration of our cutting-edge technology.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate the execution of complex automation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, programming, and field installation specialists, to ensure seamless project implementation
  • Conduct site surveys, system design, and engineering analysis to develop tailored solutions that meet our clients' unique requirements
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise
  • Provide comprehensive project documentation, including detailed reports, schematics, and as-built drawings
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, implementing risk management strategies to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Offer technical support and guidance to our clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their complete satisfaction

What we're looking for

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the industrial automation or manufacturing sectors
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex automation projects from conception to completion
  • Strong technical expertise in control systems, PLC programming, and industrial automation technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
