Responsibilities​

  • Build a strategic, in-house data science capability and lead the delivery of advanced analytics solutions and actionable insights to address business problems and opportunities. ​
  • Enable continuous improvement of data, models and analytics visualization through enhanced data collection, feature engineering and application of new tools and machine learning techniques. ​
  • Responsible for overseeing the work of data scientists and monitor analytics projects by partners to ensure proper execution of duties, projects compliance with data privacy and security policies and align with the overall vision of the business.​
  • Responsible to assess the data science and AI maturity of the organization and devise a strategic roadmap for achieving higher levels of maturity by engaging with stakeholders, providing training and development, establishing infrastructure and capabilities, application of AI use cases and fostering a culture of innovation. ​
  • Provide consultation and collaborate with stakeholders across the business in order to provide advanced analytic and machine learning solutions to meet business objective.​
  • Proactively manage stakeholders' expectations and establish positive relationships to deliver value effectively.​
  • Improve and grow team functions through the enhancement of current processes, skill sets, and technology to ensure that best practices are adopted across the team.​
  • Motivate, mentor and coach the team to ensure continuous learning and development to enhance their capabilities and deliver up to expectations.

Requirements ​

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science/ Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Sciences or related fields ​
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role​
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques ​
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, Hadoop and BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik and PowerBI​
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders​
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
