Job Description

Manager, Legal

(1) Responsible for managing all legal matters of the Corporation, its subsidiaries, and related entities, ensuring effective governance across the Group.

(2) Deliver legal advice, strategic planning, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, while managing legal risks and litigation issues.

(3) Offer professional advice on a broad range of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters, to support business operations.

(4) Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks arising from business decisions and operations and develop strategies to minimise potential liabilities.

(5) Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments to safeguard the interests of the Corporation and its subsidiaries.

(6) Handle or oversee litigation, disputes, and negotiations, working closely with external counsel to protect the Group's position.

Qualifications and Requirements

Manager, Legal

(1) Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised university and be duly admitted to the Malaysian Bar.

(2) Have 10–15 years of post‑qualification experience, with a strong track record in both private practice and in‑house legal counsel roles, which will be considered an added advantage.

(3) Candidates with prior involvement in construction and/or renewable energy projects are strongly encouraged to apply.

(4) Demonstrate a deep understanding of Malaysian law, particularly in areas directly connected to the Group's operations and industry, enabling effective compliance and risk management.

(5) Exhibit strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities, coupled with effective communication and interpersonal skills to advise and interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

(6) Be proficient in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents, while also providing strategic legal guidance that supports the Group's overall business objectives and long‑term strategy.
