This exciting role offers an opportunity to develop your career in sales, focusing on the Malaysian factory automation market. You'll be responsible for market development, client relations, and driving sales growth for a company expanding its presence in Malaysia.

What you'll be doing?

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, electronics, and automation sectors.
  • Engage with potential clients to understand production challenges and automation needs.
  • Promote LHS portfolio of industrial switches, cables, IO modules, sensors and gateways.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to propose system configurations and integration options.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation, negotiation, and closing, to order processing and after-sales follow-up.
  • Support existing customers with product training, technical discussions, and system upgrades.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and contribute to market expansion strategies.
  • Ensure competitiveness to win projects and deals while maintaining target profitability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new automation technologies.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars when required.

Who are they looking for?

  • Technical Sales Background: Minimum 3 years of sales experience in power/electrical engineering, automation, electromechanics, or related industries
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Penang and rest of Malaysia markets is advantageous, as long-term assignment to these locations may be required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities and a presentable demeanor are essential for success in this role.
  • Sales Aptitude: An outgoing personality with a willingness to embrace sales challenges is crucial.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members.
  • Education Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or Electromechanics.
