About the role

As the Quality Assurance Executive at Pecca Leather Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent quality and reliability of the company's leather products. This full-time position is based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur and will involve overseeing the internal quality control processes throughout the manufacturing and distribution stages.

What you'll be doing

Job Highlights

  • Handle in-process and outgoing quality inspection (IPQC, OQC)
  • Drive root cause analysis & corrective actions (8D, 7 QC Tools)
  • Participate in APQP, FMEA, Kaizen & QC coaching
  • Analyze complaints, rejections & customer feedback
  • Lead quality meetings and cross-functional collaboration

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor Quality Inspection
     – Coordinate and oversee IPQC and OQC inspection processes across production.
  • Quality Issue Resolution
     – Address and follow up on internal (IPQC/OQC) and external (customer) quality issues and complaints.
  • Project & Documentation Involvement
     – Participate in new project developments (APQP) and prepare related quality documentation.
  • Team Leadership & Development
     – Guide, train, mentor, and empower QC inspectors to meet quality objectives and enhance performance.
  • Reject & Nonconformity Handling
     – Lead analysis of rejects and nonconformities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Quality Meetings & Reporting
     – Organize regular quality meetings and present reports on quality status and improvements.
  • Complaint & Data Management
     – Maintain OEM and REM customer complaint databases and manage lesson-learned communications.
  • Process Improvement
     – Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, 8D problem-solving, and Process FMEA activities.
  • Cross-functional Communication
     – Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on quality issues.
  • Training & SOP Compliance
     – Conduct training for QC team on inspection processes and ensure SOP compliance across operations.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
  • At least 1-2 years in manufacturing quality control/assurance
  • Hands-on experience in ISO/TS 16949, 8D, FMEA
  • Able to lead, train, and communicate across teams
  • Strong in data analysis and SOP applications
  • Excellent written and communication skills in Malay and English
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added value to deal with China counterparts.
