Description

We are seeking a dedicated intern to join our dynamic team at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., specifically in the PCSB Uni Surveillance (SKO Miri) department. In this role, you will be an integral part of the PE Surveillance team, working on various aspects of field and well surveillance for our producing fields. Your primary focus will be to identify production enhancement activities and provide regular monitoring and reporting to management, ensuring optimal production surveillance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the PE Surveillance team in conducting field and well surveillance activities.
  • Identify and propose production enhancement initiatives to improve field performance.
  • Collect and analyze data for regular surveillance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement surveillance strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with field personnel and provide support as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for management updates.
  • Conduct research on emerging surveillance technologies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during surveillance operations.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
  • Basic knowledge of field and well surveillance practices is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Passion for the oil and gas industry and a desire to contribute to field operations.
