Job Summary:

The Senior Site Agent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and timelines. The role focuses on supervising site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality and compliance throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Management & Supervision

  • Oversee daily construction operations to ensure projects are executed according to schedule, budget, and specifications.
  • Supervise site staff, including site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor work progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation and effective utilization of manpower and equipment.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure construction works comply with design drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies on site.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
  • Attend site meetings, provide updates, and communicate issues or risks promptly.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

4. Planning & Reporting

  • Assist in developing work schedules and monitor progress against project milestones.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports, including progress, manpower, and material usage.
  • Record and maintain site documentation, including site instructions, variation orders, and safety reports.

5. Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • Resolve on-site technical, operational, and logistical issues promptly.
  • Ensure any changes or deviations are documented and approved by relevant authorities.
  • Support Project Manager in decision-making related to construction methodology and site operations.

Requirements:

  • Qualification:
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Above 10 years of experience in construction site management, preferably in high-rise, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in supervising site teams and managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other site management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.

Additional Advantage:

  • Familiarity with CIDB, QLASSIC, and ISO standards.
  • Experience liaising with consultants, clients, and local authorities.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5, RM8,000.00 per month
