Job Summary:

The Production cum Halal Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of factory production, including inventory management, schedule planning, quality control, machinery maintenance and Halal related compliance and management.

Additionally, the role will involve ensuring the factory's cleanliness monitoring, and overall operational efficiency. The candidate will also handle bookkeeping and record-keeping tasks, including managing delivery orders (DO).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Packing and Repacking Production:

  2. Oversee and manage the repacking process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  3. Ensure repacked products meet quality standards and are ready for distribution.

  4. Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.

  5. Monitor production timelines and adjust schedules as needed to optimize output.

  6. Quality Control (QC):

  7. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.

  8. Conduct regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly.

  9. Material Planning:

  10. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.

  11. Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  12. Halal Application and Management:

  13. Oversee the application and renewal of Halal certifications.

  14. Ensure all production processes comply with JAKIM halal standard and requirements.

  15. Maintain proper documentation for halal certification and audits.

  16. Assist in on-site inspection as and when necessary.

  17. Factory Management:

  18. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized factory environment.

  19. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  20. Oversee general maintenance and repairs of the factory premises.

  21. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for factory machinery.

  22. Ensure all equipment is in good working condition to minimize downtime.

  23. Record Keeping and Reporting:

  24. Manage and maintain accurate records of invoices, delivery orders (DO), packing list and inventory in/out.

  25. Track and reconcile inventory levels to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

  26. Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records of inventory, quality checks, and halal compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Production Management, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a production or factory management role, preferably in an SME setting (fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply).

  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and inventory management.

  • Knowledge of halal certification, food handling and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).

  • Experience in machine maintenance and servicing is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, problem-solving skills and able to work individually.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires working in a factory environment.

  • May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of heavy objects.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed to meet production deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM2,300.00 per month
