Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Halal Executive cum QA to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Halal standards, eHalal system, and quality assurance processes within the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee overall QA operations, including production, raw materials, sanitation, GMP, and finished product quality compliance for the plant.
  • Approve and review suppliers and raw materials based on Halal compliance criteria.
  • Manage and maintain the Halal documentation system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Handle Halal-related submissions via the eHalal system and ensure compliance with JAKIM's & others requirements.
  • Liaise with certification bodies and relevant authorities for Halal and quality matters.
  • Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions to uphold Halal and QA standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal and/or Quality Assurance roles.
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Halal standards, regulations, and certification processes.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with the eHalal system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address Halal compliance risks.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
