About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. You will be responsible for testing software manually and/or with automation tools, identifying bugs, and verifying that products meet requirements before release. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide timely feedback.
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Identify, record, and track bugs through defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
  • Verify fixes and perform retesting to ensure resolution of reported issues.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, usability, and security standards.
  • Prepare test reports and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester, QA Engineer, or Software Tester.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and QA processes.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing and familiarity with automation tools.
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL queries) for data validation.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
