Cloud DevOps Engineer

Kloudynet is a fast-growing Cybersecurity company in Southeast Asia and also an Advanced Security Partner with Microsoft specializing in providing innovative solutions and services to clients across various industries. Currently, we are looking for Cloud DevOps Engineer for our client who is a leading in the insurance industry.

PURPOSE:

• Facilitate the overall Technology organization to adopt cloud-first strategy & realize the overall Group Technology Strategy by where Cloud based operation underpins.
• Drive cloud transformation concepts and engineering patterns into development teams to keep systems operating effectively
• Provide engineering and technical leadership for the design, planning, development, and delivery of critical applications on cloud-native microservices architectures that will drive optimizations and improvements in the security, agility, responsiveness, and capital efficiency of SecDevOps environment.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES:

• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple CoE and agency DevOps environments
• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture -Use infrastructure-as-code (currently, but not limited to, Terraform) and configuration management (currently, but not limited to, Chef) to automate CoE and local multi-cloud infrastructure
• Review code and consult with other engineers on new features and their implications for site performance, reliability, and security for the security of CoE and local DevOps environments
• Improve automation and fault tolerance of the deployment process
• Drive long-term improvement in CoE and agency DevOps system availability by removing single points of failure

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

KPI within 3 years:

• Adopt 100% of application hosted on cloud services
• Achieve 100% adoption of automatic software deployment
• Reduce 30% in systems managed by cloud service migration
• Achieve 10x faster software delivery
• Ensure to achieve 100% cloud adoption in 10 major markets in FWD.

KPI to enable Polaris strategy:

• Execute the Polaris strategy to facilitate the digital and cloud-enabled transformations:
• Reduce the lead time for production migration
• Increase the number of projects delivered in the cloud environment
• Reduce the number of high and critical vulnerabilities by applying the cloud security controls to provide safer systems

KPI on daily basis:

• Rollout and manage cloud projects in all FWD markets
• Manages cloud solutions delivery risks, identifies, determines and recommends risk mitigation solution for deployment and maintenance as appropriate

EXTERNAL & INTERNAL CONTACTS:

• Manage cross-functional, external and internal partners for country-specific and group-led initiatives
• Guide cross-functional stakeholders and resources to deliver on target cloud solution states
• Ensure closed-loop execution and co-ordination with peer and Country technology leaders and teams
• Lead vendor management for assigned cloud solutions
• Ensure efficient communicate and coordination with peer Group Technology teams across application, infrastructure and security on the solution roadmap, design, and implementation

DECISION MAKING:

• Execute the multi-cloud strategy and meet achievable milestones for cloud adoptions, which aligns with the target KPIs set in Polaris and Tech strategies for Group and all markets
• Determine, promote and execute the best cloud engineering and implementation approaches
• Collaborate and coordinate with relevant parties through triage and consultation to fulfil cloud engineering requirements
• Lead and manage prioritization decisioning and allocation to achieve optimal resourcing outcomes to fulfill cloud solution goals
• Design the cloud implementation approach and technology

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of IT experience
• Relevant degree or diploma programme of study
• Advanced level software architecture and programming skills

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Experience with DevOps frameworks such as; release engineering tactics, advanced test automation, infrastructure as code, self-healing, technical debt and toil elimination and chaos engineering
• Experience working with APIs achieving automation and interoperability
• Experience with containers platforms (Docker EE or Openshift) and orchestration (Swarm, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes or AWS Elastic Kubernetes)
• Strong practical Linux- and Windows-based system administration skills in a cloud or virtualization environments
• Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure
• Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management
• Understanding and experience with tagging
• Good command of spoken and written English
