Responsibilities

As a Finance Intern at HealthMetrics, you'll gain hands-on experience in real business operations while supporting our transition to a new financial system. You'll work closely with our Finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across payment and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payment Management: Update and reconcile corporate payments in the HealthMetrics system and accounting software using actual bank data—ensuring real-time financial accuracy.
  • Reimbursement Processing: Handle both Panel and Non-Panel reimbursement payments, preparing and sending payment advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Corporate Account Support: Assist in preparing and verifying payment forms for corporate clients, ensuring smooth and timely transactions.
  • Expense Management: Review, process, and record expense sheets and invoices, contributing to transparent and accountable financial operations.
  • Invoicing & Collections: Generate invoices, send reminders, and engage directly with corporate clients to ensure prompt payment.
  • Payment Resolution: Help identify and resolve bounced or failed payments by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations and learn how financial data connects across systems.
  • System Transition Exposure: Be actively involved in the implementation of our new finance and accounting system—offering feedback, testing features, and supporting data migration to improve future workflows.
  • Full Set of Accounts: Assist in the preparation of a full set of accounts and gain direct exposure to professional financial reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in additional assignments or special projects that broaden your finance and business knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Meticulous and analytical, with a passion for numbers and continuous learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to accounting software is an advantage.
  • Proactive, curious, and adaptable in a fast-paced, techw-driven environment.
